Leaf Land you Have a New Leader

On Thursday with an assist on a Kaberle goal Mats Sundin passed Darryl Sittlers all-time Leaf point Leader or so the thought. As it was revealed Sundin never even touched the puck. So in dramatic fashion he sends a puck to the net in the 3rd peroid which hits Brendan Witts skate and into the net. With that Goal Sundin passed both Sittlers All-time Leaf Records of Goals and Points. The game ended in dramatic fashion with a 8-1 win over the Isles and Sundin getting the 1st,2nd and 3rd stars caping off a great rebound night from the 7-1 loss over the Canes.

Before mondays games, Mats Sundin was leading the league in assists, Nik Antropov was leading the league in +/- and as matter of fact he still is. Chris Mason and Paul Stastny have been the biggest suprises to the start of the season. Stastny is currently second in goals and tied for first in Points. Mason is starting the season of with a stunning in two games .50 GAA and a .984 Sv% amazing. The ducks are desperatly looking like they need Niedermeyer,Selanne and yes Dustin Penner. Martin Gerber 4-0 this doesnt hurt his trade stock. Nashville,Oilers, Islanders, and Washington have come out to the biggest starts to the year in a suprising way though even though its only about 3-4 games into the season for most teams but still its a interesting beginning.

Jason Blake:Leukemia

Yesterday, Jason Blake decided to let his teamates and the media that he is currently batttling Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia. It is very highly treatable and will not effect his game time if he takes a postive effect to the medication. During his press conference he seemed sad but at the same time confident to play with the leafs and win a cup. Heres hoping Blake gets better.

Technical Problems
